Kingston XS2000 2TB USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Portable SSD (SXS2000/2000GA)

The Kingston XS2000 is a portable SSD built around the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface, delivering up to 2,000 MB/s read and 2,000 MB/s write — about double what standard USB 3.2 Gen 2 portable drives manage. That makes the 2TB model a strong choice for offloading and editing 4K/8K footage, RAW photo shoots and large project files directly from the drive, with room for a full working library.

At 69.54 x 32.58 x 13.5 mm and 28.9 g, it is roughly half the size of a typical portable SSD. The metal-and-plastic body sits inside a removable rubber sleeve that provides IP55 protection against dust and water and absorbs shocks, so it can travel in a camera bag or pocket without a separate case.

It connects over USB-C, draws power from the host device, and works out of the box with Windows 11/10/8.1, macOS 10.14 and later, Linux 2.6 and later, and Chrome OS, as well as USB-C phones and tablets. It is backward compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports at those ports’ lower speeds.
